How a love for note apps and a fear of the blank page led to Croni
I had so much to say. So many ideas worth sharing. Opinions, expertise, stories that mattered. But every time I sat down to write and post, nothing. The blank page won. Every. Single. Time.
Then came the obsession
Tried every note-taking app. Loved them all. But always that one dealbreaker: the missing feature, the clunky export, the walled garden. The search for the perfect writing tool never ended.
The spark
What if AI could break the cycle? What if there was a tool that not only helped you write, but actually got your words out there?
The vision was clear. BRDs, PRDs, sketches on paper, late-night planning sessions. The execution path... not so much.
The hackathon
A hackathon invitation appeared at just the right time. Found a small team. Most of us had worked together for the first time. The scope was ambitious, way bigger than one month allowed.
We built mobile and web apps with complex workflows. Built everything from scratch, shipped fast. And yes, it was buggy as hell. But somehow, it worked.
The rebuild
Pain points. One by one.
After the hackathon, the real work began. No more sprinting. Just methodical debugging, rethinking architecture, and solving problems step by step. Every fix made the next one clearer.
Croni reborn
And then, Croni came alive.
After months of focused development, Croni came alive for real. This wasn't a hackathon project anymore. It was a product.
